
Help bring Community Heroes to Commodore Barry Park and Fort Greene Park!
Do you know someone who has made an impact in Fort Greene? Tell us about this person, and they may be featured in an exhibition in Commodore Barry Park and Fort Greene Park this summer.
We are also seeking Fort Greene-based photographers to take a portrait of a hero and have your photo exhibited in the park for all to see, and inviting local businesses to make a contribution.
Community Heroes is partnering with residents, artists, local organizations, and businesses in Fort Greene to collaborate on nominating heroes and taking their portraits for an exhibition at Commodore Barry Park and Fort Greene Park beginning August. The banners will be installed along park pathways and create a link between the two neighborhood parks.
We are currently working with Friends of Commodore Barry Park, the Fort Greene Park Conservancy, NYC Parks, Partnerships for Parks and many other local residents and organizations on this project.
