Fort Greene

Joaquin Luzunaris

Each morning, Joaquin bikes from the Bronx to Fort Greene to begin his work day at the Navy Green. He has been working at the Navy Green building since it was built, and intends to serve there until retirement. He has had a career in building services since 1983.

For Joaquin, this is more than just a job. He views his tenants as a second family and wants all residents to feel welcome from the day the walk in. He has a passion to help every being, from the tenants to their dogs.

He goes above and beyond — visiting cats, changing cat litter, folding laundry, and delivering packages. No package has ever been lost on his watch. When people tell him that’s not his job, his response is that it’s his nature and his character. This is just what he does.
