Delphine Cooper was not only a mother to her nine children, but also a leader to her community. As a longtime Tenant Association President of the Ingersoll Houses and Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts of America, she dedicated herself to helping the people of the Fort Greene community thrive. She worked tirelessly to keep young people active and engaged through community programming. She also helped several people access resources and assisted them in finding their lifelong careers.
